Sharon and I arrived at the tattoo parlor and waited because Caleb was running a little late. This did not help with the nerves that had formed a tight ball in my stomach when I woke up this morning.
However, things got started and I asked for my ankle tattoo to be done first. It is smaller and I wanted it out of the way. So Caleb began:

and finished
After a smoke (Caleb had the smoke) and a very large skull from my water bottle he began with the biggy on my shoulder blade. I have loved this picture for many years now. I found it in a book given to me as a birthday present of art by Brian Froud, my obsession with the Labyrinth had been discovered. The man is awesome. So anyway, the goblin I chose as my little companion is named Dashe and he is a goblin artist and he inspires me to be creative. I love him. Anyway back to the story:
This is the only good picture of Caleb actually tattooing Dashe because Sharon had to head off, but Caleb was sweet enough to take up the camera when he could.

I'm now in a bit of awkward pain but the tattooing was, as scary as this might sound, quite enjoyable, especially after my first experience. Caleb had a look at my first tattoo because I am thinking of finally getting it coloured in, his main word was 'brutal'. It looks like crap compared to these beautiful pieces of art, and the pain I experienced was hideous. I will not go to anyone but Caleb if I can help it. He made it a really amazing and enjoyable experience.
